will be a potluck picnic at the Chassell Township Park's

ELCA National Youth Gathering
2012:
The ELCA national youth gathering in New
Orleans is fourteen months away. This incredible life-changing
opportunity is available for our high school youth. This experience
gives young people the chance to share their faith with youth from
across the country and strengthens their relationship with Jesus
Christ.
In order for the youth from Holy Trinity and their friends to
participate in the gathering we need the support of parents and
members of the congregation. As we prepare for the gathering, the
congregation has the opportunity to walk with the youth and make an
impact on their lives. Preparation for youth participants and their
families includes fundraising, bible study, and group building.
The time is upon us to get a clear commitment from the youth and
their families, who will be attending the gathering in July, 2012.
In order to reserve a spot for this formational event a $50.00
non-refundable deposit is due by June 8th, 2011. The gathering opens
the door for our youth to become leaders in all aspects of their
lives. The gathering fosters a life-long faith journey that benefits
the youth, families, and community at Holy Trinity.
Confirmation
Youth in grades seven, eight and nine take
part in a three-year confirmation program which offers serious study
and searching the Scriptures in an attempt to recognize the
relationship between faith and life.

Confirmation Classes starting in the 1920s.
If you have pictures of any earlier Confirmation
Classes, please contact the church office and allow us to make a
copy of your picture!
Scholarship
The Holy Trinity Endowment Fund will
accept applications for a college scholarship for a member of Holy
Trinity who is enrolled in an ELCA affiliated college. Applications
are accepted once a year and are due in the church office by July
1st.

Youth Groups and Special
Events
To encourage a sense
of belonging to our Church family, our youth are given opportunities
to participate in the annual Christmas program and other special
events: the giving tree, special projects for shut-ins, and special
music during the church services. A children's sermon is offered to
the little ones during our regular church service, and the older
youth assist as ushers, acolytes and lectors.
Although much of the education
is provided within our church home, youth group activities and
special events involving all congregational ages are held on a
regular basis.
Formal First Communion Preparation if
offered in the fall or spring, as the children become ready.
Activities outside the church
such as a fall hayride, bowling, ice skating, sleighing and swimming
parties, provide an atmosphere of celebration and sense of belonging
for young and old alike.
Our junior and senior youth
groups provide additional avenues for reaching out to our youth.
Some of the activities available include one-week camping events
held at the
Fortune Lake Bible Camp in
Crystal Falls, other
camping experiences and special retreats, youth gatherings,
leadership schools, service projects, such as those to the annual
Holiday Youth Congress in Green Bay. A summer confirmation trip is
taken when there is interest and funding, visiting places such
as Sky Ranch in Colorado
and Outlaw Ranch
in South Dakota and more.
